Miiv Flora is a 10 year old flower establishment. We are expanding and looking for a trustworthy, hardworking, and passionate shop assistant to join the Miiv Flora team at our retail shop front.

In this role, you will be responsible for running the operation of the retail shop, assisting customers with their floral needs and for driving sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist with their floral selections. Offer knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs and preferences while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales: Actively promote and sell a variety of flowers, plants, and related products. Upsell and cross-sell items to achieve sales targets and enhance the customer experience.
  • Product Maintenance: Monitor the freshness and quality of flowers and plants by adhering to proper handling and storage procedures. Regularly water and care for plants to maintain their health.
  • Shop Maintenance: Keep the shop front clean, organized, and visually appealing. Restock shelves and displays as necessary, and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  • Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, handle transactions accurately, and manage cash and credit card payments with precision.
  • Customer Orders: Process special orders and requests efficiently, including preparing and delivering arrangements when needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth shop operations and provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Floral & Hamper Arrangements - There will be opportunity to pick up floristy knowledge and flower arrangement skills during the course of your employment.
Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in floral design or retail is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Skills: Good interpersonal skills. Able to communicate in English and Mother Tongue is preferred. Basic computing knowledge is preferred. Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions and managing inventory.
  • Physical Requirements: Shop maintenance chores is laborious. Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move flower arrangements, and handle various floral products with care.
  • Availability: Able to commit to early morning shift from 6.30am to 2.30pm. Able to commit to 6 day week, weekends and public holiday.
