Job summary

AVIATION SAFETY AND TRAINING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a maintenance technician for training devices.

You will perform pre-flight and post-flight operations, complete documentation, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as assigned. Reading technical drawings and schematics of electronics, electrical and mechanical systems is essential. You will diagnose faults, assist in upgrades, run qualification tests, and support customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or engineering degree in a relevant field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a dynamic 12-hour rotating shift (Day/Night).
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics of electronics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Analytical thinking with responsibility and ownership.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with a results mindset.
• Experience with PLCs, electronics and computer equipment is advantageous.
• Experience with simulators or similar field is advantageous.
• Ability to start immediately or on short notice is preferred.
• Entry level is welcomed.
• Able to work 12 hours shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-flight operations and post-flight operations on all training devices and complete the necessary documentation.
• Perform all preventive maintenance works and corrective maintenance works on all training devices as assigned.
• Respond to customers' training needs in a courteous and timely manner to ensure reliability and availability of training devices.
• Adhere to AST’s quality standards.
• Assist in diagnosis on all training devices to isolate faults and repair components where possible.
• Assist in modification and upgrading of simulators training devices and related components, hardware and software.
• Assist in running Qualification Test Guides.
• Perform logistical/administrative duties including updating technical documentation or logistical information.
• Perform housekeeping to maintain the simulator, training devices and related components.
• Make spare parts requests, shipping and receiving of parts and components.
• Assist in national aviation authorities’ evaluations.
• Perform tasks to support the team as required.
