Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Sourcing (Gas)
  • Raise, process, and close Purchase Requisitions/ POs for gas vessels in line with company policies.
  • Source and obtain quotes for cargo refrigeration plant spares, compressors, valves, instrumentation, gas detection, PSA/N₂ plant parts, safety equipment, calibrated tools, and general ship stores.

  • Plan and coordinate port / launch deliveries to meet vessel schedules, yard stays, dry docks, and gas cargo operations.
  • Maintain and update approved vendor/service provider lists (gas-related).
2. Technical Support to Gas Fleet
  • Work with Gas Technical Superintendent to identify critical spares and minimum stock levels for cargo and N₂ systems.
  • Follow up on repair / servicing of off-land cargo equipment and instruments and ensure proper documentation and re-delivery to vessel.

  • Support dry-docking / project procurement for gas vessels (LLIs, coatings, cryogenic valves, safety systems).
3. Supplier & Cost Management
  • Track supplier performance (price, quality, on-time delivery) and elevate non-conformities.
  • Prepare regular reports on purchases, deliveries, backorders, and vessel costs for management.
  • Assist in annual price reviews, contracts, and rebates for high-usage gas items/services.
  • Ensure every purchase activity is properly documented, approved, and closed in the system.
