Job summary

A seafood processing company in Singapore is looking for a Production Manager to oversee the entire seafood processing operation from receiving to packaging. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in relevant fields and 8-10 years of experience in seafood processing or food production, with a focus on compliance to regulations such as HACCP and ISO. Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring quality control, and preparing documentation for audits. This role demands hands-on involvement and expertise in cold-chain management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Production Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise seafood processing from receiving to packaging.
  • Perform hands‑on tasks when necessary, including cleaning, filleting, cutting, and packaging fish.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HACCP, ISO, GMP, FDA/SFA regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections for hygiene, temperature control, and food safety.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Manage accurate records of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Prepare production reports and maintain documentation for audits and certifications.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise production staff.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, QA, and Operations for stock planning and ISO compliance.
  • Kickstart production line and integrate processes under ISO 22000 certification.
Job Requirements
  1. Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Fisheries, Manufacturing, or related fields.
  2. Minimum 8–10 years in seafood processing or food production; experience in setting up a new plant is an advantage.
  3. Expertise in seafood handling, cold‑chain management, and traceability systems.
  4. Knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP standards.
  5. Ability to work in cold, wet environments and perform manual tasks.
