Job summary

Job Purpose
  • To manage the First Aid function of the school, along with all staff members of the First Aid Team
  • To ensure and maintain high standards of First Aid services in the school
  • To provide front line first aid assistance for students and staff
  • This is a permanent part time role with maximum of 15 working hours per week
Key Accountabilities
First Aid – Hygienic Tasks
  • Perform first aid duty during school hours, sports competitions and school events
  • Be the point of contact if a student or staff member feels unwell
  • Preparation of First Aid Travel Kits
  • Control of hygienic standards, measure of prevention
  • Checking all medication monthly, follow up with expired medication
  • Other duties as assigned by the First Aid Department Manager
Administrative Tasks
  • Support the First Aid Department Manager with data collection from parents when a child has chronic disease
  • Inform teachers/parents when a child calls in sick
  • Alert First Aid Department Manager when infectious disease arises and sends out templates accordingly
  • Writing of accident and incident reports
  • Run first aid training for staff
  • Accompany class trips as and when needed
  • Other duties as assigned by First Aid Department Manager
Knowledge and Experience
  • Certified First Aid experience/nursing experience
  • Preferably nursing experience with children
Technical and Soft Skills
  • Professional in written and spoken German and English, as you will be engaging with students, parents and colleagues who speak these languages
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work independently
