Working hours: Monday to Friday, office hours

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the fire safety team in ensuring full compliance with all emergency response and fire safety regulations, policies, and SOPs.
• Establish clear accountability, expectations, and deliverables for the fire safety function across the organization.
• Oversee daily inspections, identify and remove fire hazards, and ensure fire protection systems and equipment are fully operational at all times.
• Manage contracts related to fire safety systems / services, ensuring effective vendor performance and compliance with relevant authorities and safety standards.
• Plan and execute regular fire drills / emergency evacuation exercises to ensure all building occupants are familiar with emergency protocols.
• Conduct training programs for emergency response teams, including basic first aid, firefighting, and evacuation procedures.
• Review infrastructure designs and operational layouts to strengthen emergency response capabilities and business continuity.
• Support the organization’s emergency preparedness initiatives, including developing and testing emergency response plans.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical guidance on fire safety and emergency management matters to project teams and operational departments.

Key Requirements

• Min. Degree in Engineering fields or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• Min. 7-8 years’ experience as a Fire Safety Manager in managing safety protocols within healthcare facilities or similar high-risk environments.
• SCDF-registered Senior Fire Safety Manager Certificate with proven expertise in fire safety management.
• Well versed with building codes, fire safety systems, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) standards, and emergency preparedness frameworks.
• Strong track record of stakeholder engagement, managing compliance risks, and aligning infrastructure to achieve optimal safety outcomes.
