Job summary

Greensafe International Pte Ltd is seeking a Fire Officer at Singapore Changi Cargo Complex to operate fire control systems, conduct safety patrols, and respond to emergencies. The role requires maintaining fire safety records and supporting training and drills to ensure a safe environment.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of operational firefighting experience and be able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an operational firefighter with SCDF, AES, or Industrial Fire Brigade.
• Ability to operate inspection tools (e.g., gas detector) and reporting tablets.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fire control room systems to ensure detection and suppression per SOPs.
• Conduct regular fire safety patrols of escape routes and equipment.
• Respond to fire alarms and emergencies to assist on-site incident command.
• Serve as fire-watcher during hot work operations with proper permits.
• Report and document all fire safety incidents for timely resolution.
• Attend and support fire evacuation drills and training sessions.
• Maintain patrol records and assist in equipment readiness.
• Uphold discipline and professional conduct per SIA/SIAEC protocols.

Job Summary

As a Fire Officer at Singapore Changi Cargo Complex, you will operate fire control systems, conduct safety patrols, respond to emergencies, support firefighting and evacuation, and maintain fire safety records to ensure a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fire control room (FCR) systems in assigned hangars and buildings to ensure fire detection and suppression systems function per SOPs
• Conduct regular fire safety patrols inspecting escape routes, firefighting equipment, and hazardous material storage to identify and mitigate risks
• Respond promptly to fire alarm activations and emergencies to support the on-site incident commander in firefighting and evacuation efforts
• Serve as fire-watcher during hot work operations, ensuring proper permits and safety checks are maintained to prevent fire hazards
• Report, record, and communicate all fire safety incidents, defects, and operational irregularities to relevant authorities and stakeholders for timely resolution
• Attend, support, and facilitate fire evacuation drills, fire warden courses, and fire safety training to maintain preparedness
• Maintain accurate patrol records and incident logbooks, and assist in equipment readiness and maintenance follow-ups to ensure operational reliability
• Uphold discipline, proper attire, and professional conduct in compliance with SIA/SIAEC protocols

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an operational firefighter with SCDF, AES, or Industrial Fire Brigade
• Physical fitness to respond effectively to fire incidents and emergencies
• Knowledge of Singapore Fire Safety Act, SCDF regulations, and relevant Codes of Practice
• Ability to operate inspection tools (e.g., gas detector), tablet computers for reporting, and communication devices
• Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with fire alarm and suppression systems in large buildings or aviation environments
• Additional certifications in fire safety, CERT, or related fields
