Job summary

Airwallex in Singapore is offering a 6-month internship for a student intern who will design, develop, and deploy production-ready capabilities for Airwallex’s Spend Cards and Issuing platform. The project may span card lifecycle management, spend controls, APIs, or customer-facing card experiences.

You will participate in design, development, testing, observability, and deployment, with mentor guidance, and present milestones to the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a formal tertiary qualification with strong programming foundation.
• Proven interest in AI-driven systems and distributed architectures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in standups, reviews and showcases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and validate outputs.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Deliver bi-weekly project updates and demonstrations to the team.
