A global cloud computing company is seeking an experienced individual for their public policy team in Singapore. The role focuses on driving regulatory policy advocacy in the financial services industry across the Asia Pacific and Japan region. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in regulatory advocacy, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and excellent communication skills. This position offers an opportunity to shape cloud adoption policies in regulated industries.

The AWS Public Policy team is at the forefront of helping customers in regulated industries (such as financial services (FS), telecoms, energy and other companies) maximize the benefits of cloud computing and AI by removing regulatory and policy blockers to cloud and AI adoption and shaping policy frameworks.
AWS is looking for a talented, experienced, and innovative individual to develop and drive regional regulatory policy advocacy strategy including representation of AWS before regional policymakers and regulators in the FS industry policy area. The role is focused around policies and regulations related to FS institutions’ use of cloud and AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for advocating for favorable policies and regulations to promote AWS’ business interests in the FS industry, and developing strategies to convince regulators of the (cyber)security, resilience and innovation potential of the cloud and AI.
The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about cloud, (cyber)security and AI technology, enjoy being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations. They should have public policy advocacy experience in FS industry and must be able to point to successful advocacy outcomes they delivered in the past.
