Job summary

Funding Societies | Modalku seeks a driven Financial Product Analyst / Associate to own the end-to-end loan lifecycle across SME financing offerings, from onboarding to settlement, with emphasis on process engineering and data-driven decision making.

You will analyze market trends, own dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize conversion, retention, and product economics while navigating AML/KYC regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in banking, fintech, consulting, product management, or data analytics; fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving; ability to break down ambiguous problems and communicate findings clearly.
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL; Python or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a strong plus.
• Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work (Claude, Gemini, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product lifecycle across SME financing loan journey from onboarding to settlement.
• Identify process gaps and drive scalable improvements independently.
• Lead integration of AI-enabled tools to automate loan processing tasks.
• Own the product playbook and improve it for best-in-class customer experience.

• Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Risk, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Compliance to advance initiatives.

We are looking for a driven and commercially aware Financial Product Analyst / Associate to join our team. You will take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle across our SME financing suite — from Working Capital and Trade Financing to Secured Lending — with a strong focus on process engineering and data-driven decision making.

What you will do:

Level 1 — Process & Workflow Engineering

• Own and maintain the end-to-end product lifecycle across the full loan journey — from customer onboarding through to settlement
• Proactively identify process gaps and inefficiencies, and drive structured, scalable solutions independently
• Lead integration of AI-enabled tools to automate and streamline loan processing tasks
• Own the product playbook and continuously improve it to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
• Step in and execute ad-hoc operational tasks hands-on when business needs arise

Level 2 — Data Analytics & Insights

• Independently analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor offerings to surface growth opportunities and inform product direction
• Own product metrics and dashboards — translate data into commercially actionable insights for stakeholders
• Query performance data from our data warehouse and build visualisations that support structured product narratives
• Drive data-informed recommendations that improve conversion, retention, and product economics

Level 3 — Commercial & P&L Awareness

• Develop working familiarity with how product decisions impact the top and bottom line
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders — Sales, Credit, Risk, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Compliance — to move product initiatives forward
• Build understanding of regulatory requirements (AML, KYC, PDPA) and their implications for product design in financial services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in banking, fintech, consulting, product management, or data analytics. Fresh graduates that are keen to embark on a career in FinTech are also welcome
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving — you can break down ambiguous problems and communicate findings clearly
• Comfortable working with data independently — proficiency in Excel and SQL is a must; Python or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a strong plus
• Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work (e.g. Claude, Gemini, etc) — we are an AI-first team
• Strong written communication — ability to articulate problems, frame insights, and influence stakeholders through structured thinking
• Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver without close supervision
