The Financial Executive is responsible for managing the company’s full set of accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting management in financial planning and decision-making. This role plays a key part in maintaining healthy financial operations and ensuring that accounting processes are efficient and up to date.
Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage the full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations using Xero Accounting Software, ensuring data accuracy and proper categorization.

Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Assist in the preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries for decision-making.
- Support year-end closing activities and liaise with external auditors.

Taxation & Compliance
- Handle GST / SST submissions, tax filings, and liaise with tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
- Keep abreast of regulatory updates and advise management accordingly.

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and report variances.
- Provide insights and recommendations for cost control and financial efficiency.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Manage daily cash flow and bank transactions.
- Prepare cash flow projections to ensure adequate working capital.
- Oversee payment runs and collections to maintain healthy liquidity.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Review and improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Support digitalization and automation of accounting workflows where applicable.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Must have hands-on experience using Xero Accounting Software, including bank reconciliation, journal entries, and report generation.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong general IT literacy.
