A leading property development firm in Singapore is seeking a Financial Leader to oversee strategic initiatives, manage REIT compliance, and enhance operational finance. The ideal candidate has over 20 years in finance, extensive experience in the real estate sector, and relevant qualifications. This role is pivotal for driving financial performance and governance for the organization.
Strategic Financial Leadership
Lead strategic financial initiatives such as REIT structuring, capital raising, and joint venture deals in collaboration with the executive team.
Act as a key finance business partner to the CEO and senior leadership in evaluating investment opportunities and capital structuring.
Drive financial planning, scenario analysis, and long‑term forecasting aligned with business strategy.
Oversee all financial workstreams related to REIT listing readiness, including due diligence, financial modelling, documentation, and coordination with external advisors.
Ensure full compliance with SGX listing rules, MAS regulations, and SFRS accounting standards.
Provide comprehensive financial oversight for key assets or pipeline properties, including performance reporting and benchmarking.
Manage the financial aspects of joint ventures, including structuring, capital flows, compliance, and partnership financial reporting.
Lead the establishment of operational finance capabilities, including:
Develop and implement SOPs and financial systems to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, ensure compliance, and standardize reporting across the organization.
Establish robust internal controls, policies, and documentation frameworks.
Liaise with Malaysia HQ for BURSA and group‑level financial submissions.
Build and mentor a finance team, focused on strong governance, analysis, and business partnering.
Ensure strong financial discipline through the implementation of risk management and internal governance structures.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification is essential.
At least 20 years of progressive experience in finance, ideally within the real estate development or investment sector.
Proven experience in leading or supporting the transformation of a non‑REIT entity into a REIT.
Strong operational finance experience, particularly in establishing systems, budgeting, consolidation, and audit readiness.
Familiarity with Singapore financial regulations, SGX rules, MAS guidelines, and SFRS.
Experience working with joint ventures, capital structuring, and REIT readiness initiatives.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
Self‑starter with a hands‑on approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.
