Role summary
Financial Controller. Partner with the Finance Director to drive profitability and quality control in a fast‑growing agency. You’ll lead financial reporting, compliance, and process automation. Requires a hands‑on, entrepreneurial leader comfortable with ambiguity and a results‑driven mindset.
- Report directly to the Finance Director and support the formulation and execution of the Group’s overall financial strategy and decision‑making process.
- Oversee and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Finance Department.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial and management reports, including group consolidation, cash flow statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Liaise with external accounting firms, auditors, bankers, corporate secretarial firms and tax consultants on all accounting, audit, treasury and banking, tax and all other compliance and statutory requirements, as and when required.
- Streamline and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
- Support building a strategic structure and cadence for financial planning and reviews.
- Support the FD and the overall business in commercial pricing and analysis, working very closely with the Growth Engine, Account Servicing and Operations teams.
- Lead, manage, and mentor the Finance team to ensure high performance and continuous professional development.
- Undertake any other ad‑hoc assignments or projects as required.
You
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, candidates with a CA/CPA are an advantage.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
- Experience working in an audit/accounting firm, and/or marketing / creative agency/tech experience preferred.
- Comfortable operating in a hands‑on, fast‑paced and ambiguous environment with strong adaptability and innovation skills.
- Familiar with tools, including but not limited to Xero Finance, G‑Suite, MS Excel, etc. Strong G‑sheet/MS Excel skills preferred.
- Strong understanding of APAC tax & banking regulations and knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations is an advantage.
- Proven ability to operate across multiple markets in a regional setting.
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
