Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a Finance Analyst to perform material cost analysis, validate tool valuation against BOM, and reconcile weekly variances.

The role supports global operations and helps resolve finance attribute issues that affect transaction processing. The candidate will participate in monthly/quarterly closes, including WIP and finished goods, and conduct Financial Modeling to support Gross Margin reporting for executives.

Qualifications

• Performs analysis on built material costs to ensure correct tool valuation compared to BOM and reconciles weekly.
• Analyzes Production Order Material Variances and communicates with Operations to resolve issues identified during variance analysis.
• Provides support to World-Wide Operations teams to resolve systemic issues related to Finance attributes which prevent transactions from processing.
• Completes detailed requirements for monthly/quarterly close processes including Work In Progress, Finished Goods, Deferred and Eval Inventory.
• Performs Financial Modeling and Analysis to support Gross Margin reporting for finance executives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze material cost data to support accurate tool valuation and BOM reconciliation.
• Identify variances in Production Order Materials and coordinate with Operations for resolution.
• Assist global Operations teams to fix finance attribute issues impacting transactions.
• Prepare components of monthly and quarterly close, including WIP, FG, Deferred, and Eval Inventory.
• Develop and present Gross Margin analyses to senior finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs analysis on built material costs to ensure correct tool valuation compared to Bill of Materials & reconciles weekly
• Analyzes Production Order Material Variances & communicates with Operations to resolve issues identified during variance analysis

• Leads Aged WIP Inventory Reviews & Provides reserve analysis
• Leads Balance Sheet Review Meetings with Finance Controllers
