Job summary

SmartSun Innovation is seeking an experienced Finance & Trade Operations Executive to own day-to-day finance and international trade operations. The role covers payments, documents, and coordination across customers, suppliers, and external partners for activities across Singapore, China, India and Southeast Asia.

The successful candidate will handle routine payments, banking, and financial documentation with strong attention to detail, in a Singapore-based renewable energy tech environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in finance or trading operations.
• Able to independently handle routine payments, collections, banking and financial documentation.
• Comfortable with Excel, numbers and business documents; strong attention to detail.
• Good written and spoken English; responsible and able to work independently.
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, International Trade or a related field (added advantage).
• Experience in trading, import/export or manufacturing companies, especially China and/or India transactions (added advantage).
• Familiarity with PO, PI, commercial invoice, packing list, shipping documents, T/T, LC or FX transactions (added advantage).
• Knowledge of Singapore GST or experience supporting full-set accounts (added advantage).
• Communication capability for coordination with China-based suppliers and partners (added advantage).

Responsibilities

• Handle daily payments, collections, bank transactions, AP/AR and basic reconciliations.
• Follow customer and supplier orders, payments, shipment status and transaction records.
• Prepare and check POs, invoices, packing lists and other trade-related documents.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, banks, freight forwarders and external accounting providers.
• Track order-level costs, cash flow and basic profitability; support GST, audit and management reporting.
• Support other finance and trade-operation matters as the business grows.

The role involves managing financial transactions, trade documentation, and coordination across customers, suppliers, and external partners for a Singapore-based renewable energy technology company with business activities across Singapore, China, India and Southeast Asia.
