Job description

We are seeking a hands‑on and strategic finance leader to build and lead the finance function of a newly launched consultancy business. This role is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who thrives in fast‑paced, early‑stage environments and enjoys driving structure, fundraising, investor relations and long‑term growth.

Client Details

Our client is a privately owned consulting firm that is expanding into the ESG and waste‑management sector with a newly launched business. Backed by a solid advisory heritage and a growing commitment to sustainability, they are building a forward‑looking platform focused on environmental impact, financial innovation, and long‑term value creation. As they establish their presence in Singapore, the company is now seeking its foundational finance hire to kick‑start the business and set up the core financial, banking, and governance infrastructure from day one.

Description
  • Establish and lead the full finance function, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  • Set up and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
  • Partner closely with the CEO on strategy, business planning, and financial modelling.
  • Lead fundraising efforts including investor relations, pitch materials, valuations, and deal structuring.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance, governance, and the financial aspects of setting up and managing the Singapore holding company.
  • Provide insights to support commercial decisions, market expansion, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, legal counsel, and other key stakeholders.
Profile
  • CPA qualification or equivalent professional accounting certification.
  • Extensive experience in finance and accounting, with proven capability in managing end‑to‑end financial operations within growth‑stage, entrepreneurial, or asset‑intensive environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in investor relations, fundraising, valuations, and capital structuring.
  • A hands‑on, execution‑oriented approach, with the ability to balance strategic finance responsibilities and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Prior exposure to setting up financial systems, processes, or greenfield finance functions will be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leadership in a lean organisational setup.
  • Given the accelerated project schedule, availability to start soon will be an advantage, although all applications will be considered fairly.
Job Offer
  • Lead the full finance setup for a newly launched start‑up.
  • High visibility role partnering directly with the CEO/founder.
  • Opportunity to shape strategy, fundraising, and investor relations from day one.
  • Build financial and accounting systems from scratch and drive digital transformation.
  • Join a mission‑driven organisation contributing to sustainability and environmental impact.
