Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Singapore seeks a Finance Manager to lead the finance and accounting operations for the Singapore entities and support regional planning, reporting, compliance, and transformation initiatives across Southeast Asia.

You will partner with shared service centers, external auditors, tax advisors and business leaders to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance and performance improvements, including M&A integration across APAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• CPA/CA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GST, corporate tax and transfer pricing.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for Singapore entities.
• Manage statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Lead regional FP&A processes and budgeting across Southeast Asia.

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the finance and accounting operations of the Singapore entities while supporting regional financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives across Southeast Asia. The role partners closely with shared service centers, external auditors, tax advisors, and business leaders, to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and business performance.

This position also plays a key role in regional transformation and M&A integration activities, including acquired businesses and future business integrations across the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for all Singapore entities, including holding companies.
• Partner with Shared Service Centers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of transaction processing activities.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support SOX compliance requirements.

Statutory Audit, Tax & Compliance

• Manage annual statutory audits and coordinate audit deliverables with external auditors.
• Oversee GST and corporate income tax preparation and submission.
• Lead transfer pricing documentation, regulatory filings and support intercompany compliance requirements.

Regional FP&A and Business Performance

• Lead regional FP&A processes across Southeast Asia.
• Coordinate annual budgeting and monthly early look for key business units.
• Work with IT and local finance team to develop POWER BI platform to enable timely analysis and performance consolidation.

Business Partnering & Working Capital Management

• Act as a trusted finance business partner to commercial and operational leaders.
• Drive working capital improvements through inventory management, receivables collection, and cash flow optimization.

M&A Integration & Regional Projects

• Participate in the integration and finance transformation projects.
• Lead finance workstreams for ERP implementations, shared service migrations, and process improvement initiatives.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve finance efficiency and reporting quality.
• Provide guidance and oversight to finance personnel and shared service teams.
• Develop standard operating procedures and strengthen financial governance.
• Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably within a US-listed multinational manufacturing or industrial organization.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Singapore statutory reporting, GST, corporate tax, and transfer pricing requirements.
• Experience managing statutory audits and working with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Proven background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Exposure to M&A integration or shared service transformations is desirable.
• Experience with HFM, Power BI, Navision.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of operating in a fast-paced regional environment.
• Strong project management and change management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
