Job summary

A leading finance management company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to work closely with Country Finance Managers, ensuring compliance and enhancing the finance team's performance across the Asia Pacific region. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Accounting/Financial Reporting and the ability to manage processes effectively. This role requires strong attention to detail and independent working skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Country Finance Managers to ensure expectations are met.
• Ensure compliance with management & regulatory deadlines.
• Perform monthly reviews of financial reports.
• Setup of new sites in the region.
• Perform audits and deal with regional finance issues.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Country Finance Managers (CFMs) of the respective countries to ensure that country finance teams deliver to the expectation of HQ finance.
• Ensure that the countries meet the management & regulatory deadlines reporting, audit, filing annual returns, tax filing, GST, etc.
• Rollout & implement the group corporate governance policy to the sites.
• Strengthen the finance team by providing support, training, help, and engagement with the CFM.
• Perform monthly reviews of the financial reports and performance of the countries. Give inputs to the countries for improvements.
• Setup of new sites in the region.
• Perform audit of the region (compliance to Corporate Governance Policy).
• Deal with any regional issues foreign exchange, tax, transfer pricing agreements, management fees, etc.
• Put in place a master documentation of the policies and procedures governing the countries in the region and ensure consistency of practice among different sites/countries in the region
• Engage with the wider finance team to come up with best practices for the whole group. Implement these practices in all sites.
• Ensure that all initiatives from HQ are adopted by the region.
• Perform business analysis for specific business units.
• Perform other job related duties as and when requested by superior.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in Accounting / Finance / ACCA
• At least 5 years experience in Accounting / Financial Reporting for countries in the Asia Pacific region
• Able to work independently with high attention to details. Tact and ability to interact with staff and management at all levels in order to achieve mutually acceptable resolution of incidents.
• Require determination to succeed in the implementation of processes in the face of some reluctant parties.
