A financial technology firm in Singapore seeks an experienced Accountant to manage full-set accounting processes and statutory reporting. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in asset management or tech startups, and must be comfortable with independent preparation of financial statements. Familiarity with Singapore Tax laws and crypto operations is essential. Competitive salary offered.
Full-Set Accounting (Hands-on): Independently manage the end-to-end accounting process. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow) from scratch without relying on junior staff.
Statutory & Tax Reporting (SG & Offshore):
Handle Singapore statutory reporting, including Annual Returns (ACRA), ECI, and GST filing.
Manage compliance and regulatory filings for offshore entities, specifically BVI (e.g., economic substance, annual fees).
GL & Financial Operations:
Manage day-to-day finance operations including AP/AR/GL.
Manage the end-to-end process of employee expense reimbursements (including both fiat and crypto/stablecoin payments).
Reporting & Analysis: Ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting schedules for monthly closing. Create and analyze financial reports for senior management.
Compliance & Audit: Monitor compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/SFRS). Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure smooth submission.
Cash Flow: Assist with the company’s cash flow forecasting and treasury management.
Ad-hoc Support: Support senior management on ad-hoc projects. Adapt to the fast-paced environment of a startup/investment firm.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance or Accounting.
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of working experience in accounting.
Crucial: Previous experience in Asset Management, Fund Administration, or Tech Startups is highly preferred (candidates should be familiar with investment-related General Ledger structures).
Must-have: Proven track record of independently preparing full sets of accounts. Candidates must be willing to handle operational accounting tasks as a primary part of the role.
Professional Qualification: Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA) or currently pursuing.
Specific Knowledge:
Familiarity with Singapore Tax/ACRA regulations is a must.
Exposure to BVI or other offshore jurisdiction reporting is a strong plus.
Crypto/Web3 Aptitude:
High learning agility.
Openness to learning and handling Crypto-related operations (e.g., wallet tracking, on-chain expense reimbursement, basic understanding of digital asset investments). Prior experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently in a lean team structure.
