About the job Finance Manager (FP&A)

We are looking for a country FM that can provide financial support and analysis for the APAC region which includes designing and maintaining financial models and templates to support accurate budgeting and forecasting. (Actual and forecasted results, working capital control, business performance and currency impact etc). The person is required to analyse the financial data, propose and present cost optimization strategies to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources.
  • Manage the country Business Unit (BU) continuous improvement initiatives to streamline the controlling processes/reporting and improve efficiencies.
  • Track revenue, gross margin and expenses by BU. Prepare reports on financial performance tailored to the needs of leadership. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Monitor and provide analysis on country BU monthly performance based on various data sources to derive a consistent picture of current performance, key issues and action items.
  • Prepare the necessary financial information to support country BU on contractual negotiations, client/customer profitability analysis, internal and external presentations, issues tracking and management, investments and other key developments.
  • Prepare in-depth analyses and commentaries to facilitate discussions on key financial items.
  • Prepare relevant information and analysis for country BU strategy setting and strategic projects (e.g. M&A due diligence, acquisitions, restructurings, disposals, joint venture negotiations/management, etc.)
  • Manage country BU continuous improvement initiatives to streamline BU controlling processes/reporting and improve look for area of improvements.
  • Manage internal interactions across country BU on matters related to business controlling to ensure timely understanding of financial performance and adequate management of any financial issues
  • Drive high quality business control support to the country BU.
  • Familiar with Transfer pricing and Transfer Pricing Documentation for the Asia-Pacific Region.
  • Other adhoc duties as assigned by the CFO

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent and Chartered Accountant qualification.
  • 5 to 8 years in FP&A, accounting or relevant financial analysis experience.
  • Prior experience with Transfer pricing or experience in taxation is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using systems and tools for financial modelling, analysis of multiply large datasets and data visualisation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as this role require an active cross-functional dialogue with stakeholders
  • Strong data mining skills with the ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information as this role fronts the segment reporting to management and commercial heads
  • Strong preference for experience in creating or improving a finance function and controls as this role will involve creating and building a segment line reporting function.
  • Provides analyses of the financial results, operational costs etc
  • Coordinate with the other departments for analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communications skills - ensure high level of communication with stakeholders and internal team members
