A reputable organization in the engineering and construction sector in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring compliance and financial stability. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software. They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day finance operations and support management in both strategic and operational initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing operational execution with strategic finance responsibilities.
Lead and manage the daily finance operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory control, credit management, and general ledger functions.
Oversee company payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements including CPF, IRAS, GST, and other regulatory obligations.
Supervise, coach, and review the work of the finance team to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
Manage financial accounts and ensure timely month‑end closing, reconciliations, and costing accuracy.
Oversee cash flow management and treasury functions to maintain financial stability.
Prepare and review job budgets and project cost summaries.
Create, enhance, and implement financial policies and processes to support business growth and maintain effective control systems.
Handle annual insurance renewals, ensure adequate coverage, and monitor risk management practices.
Liaise with external partners including banks, auditors, tax consultants, corporate secretarial agents, and legal advisors.
Oversee validity and renewal of statutory business licences and certifications.
Manage IT‑related matters and serve as the main liaison with outsourced vendors.
Support management with ad‑hoc assignments and administrative duties to ensure smooth finance operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
Proven experience in monthly closing, cash flow management, and payroll operations.
Strong analytical, leadership, and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. MYOB preferred).
A proactive and process‑driven professional who can collaborate effectively across departments to uphold financial discipline and support organisational objectives.
