Finance Manager (Audit + Commercial Experience)

Hudson is supporting a client in recruiting a Finance Manager with strong external audit grounding and well-rounded commercial finance experience. This is a hands‑on role covering financial operations, reporting, compliance, and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements and reporting schedules with clear analyses.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards.

Accounts Receivable & Operational Finance

• Manage billing, collections, and AR processes.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and streamline workflows.

Cashflow & Financial Planning

• Prepare cashflow projections with commentary on key movements.
• Support management in monitoring liquidity and working capital needs.

Audit, Tax & Compliance

• Act as the main liaison for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Assist with statutory requirements, corporate filings, and compliance matters.
• Support transfer pricing and ad‑hoc tax‑related matters when needed.

Process Improvement & Projects

• Support updates to accounting practices and policies.
• Contribute to internal control enhancements and finance processes.
• Participate in system improvements, automation, and other transformation initiatives.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting cycles as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy; CPA / CA preferred.
• 8–12 years’ experience across external audit and commercial accounting roles.
• Strong foundation in audit (Big 4 preferred).
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, controls, and statutory requirements.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
• Organised, proactive, and able to work independently while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
