A leading financial services firm in Singapore is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee all financial accounts and ensure compliance with auditing and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within manufacturing or construction sectors. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for this fast-paced role. Candidates available on short notice will be prioritized.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all financial accounts, ensure timely closing of accounts and accurate accounts reconciliation, costing.
• Maintain audit & tax process “audit & tax packs”, scheduling and resolving finance-related issues, including accounts, audit, tax and GST.
• Analyse financial performance and provide support to the operating business units for decision-making.
• Review and provide input to the budget planning, forecast and critique budgets prepared by the business units.
• Responsible for closure of audit & tax and subsequent clearing & queries , compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or its equivalent audit background preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, prior experience in the manufacturing/construction industry or audit firms is a plus.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Technically sound in IFRS/local GAAP and able to be hands-on, especially during peak periods.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial reporting Standards.
• Experience in delivering system enhancements, business process improvements and managing a non-finance function will be an advantage.
• Strong initiative, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to multi-task, work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with the operations of standard accounting systems.
• Organised, meticulous and able to work under tight deadlines.
