Overview
Our company is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead all aspects of the accounting function and internal controls. This role is key to ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership, deliver insights through analysis, and collaborate with both senior management and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Manage the full budgeting and forecasting cycle, including annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Analyze financial results, trends, and KPIs to deliver insights and strategic recommendations.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health.
Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial and management reports.
- Address financial queries from regional teams and senior leadership.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure full compliance with relevant accounting standards (SFRS, US GAAP).
- Review GST submissions and oversee tax filings to IRAS.
- Support both internal and external audit processes.
- Promote strong corporate governance and continuously improve internal controls.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, including automation and reporting improvements.
- Drive enhancements in financial systems, process efficiency, and data integrity.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in Accountancy, or equivalent qualification (e.g. ACCA).
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with finance system implementation or improvements is an advantage.
