Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented and hands‑on Finance Manager to lead and manage the full spectrum of financial operations across our Singapore and Malaysia entities. This role requires close collaboration with HQ finance, local operations, supply chain, engineering and business leadership to ensure financial discipline, accurate reporting, risk control and strategic business support. The ideal candidate is experienced in manufacturing finance, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), cost control and cross‑border financial management.

Job Description
1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning processes.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and prepare insightful reports for management.
  • Partner with business units to identify cost‑saving and process improvement opportunities.
2. Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
  • Manage and optimize standard costing processes, BOM (Bill of Materials) analysis and inventory valuation.
  • Conduct product costing, margin analysis and manufacturing variance tracking (material, labour and overhead).
  • Work closely with operations to analyze production costs, yields, and throughput efficiency.
3. Strategic Financial Management, Reporting & Controllership
  • Act as the primary finance partner for Singapore and Malaysia entities, providing financial visibility and supporting strategic decisions.
  • Submit timely and accurate financial reports to HQ.
  • Highlight material variances, business risks, and opportunities to HQ Finance.
  • Manage timely month‑end and year‑end closings, prepare financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory, tax (including GST) and ACRA reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies as needed.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital
  • Monitor daily cash positions, manage banking relationships and oversee liquidity planning.
  • Maintain strong external relationships with banking, customers & vendors.
  • Optimize working capital through inventory control, receivables management and payables oversight.
  • Oversee the AR & AP team, ensuring efficient invoice processing, timely collections, and payment cycles aligned with company policies.
5. Organizational Development & Leadership
  • Lead the finance team in Singapore and Malaysia, building a high‑performing, compliant, and proactive finance function.
  • Develop talent pipelines and conduct training on financial practices across departments.
  • Set department goals and drive execution through structured planning and accountability.
6. Systems & Tools
  • Maintain and enhance ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for financial and manufacturing data integration.
  • Drive automation and process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and speed.
  • Support digitalisation and data‑driven finance initiatives.
7. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
8. Ad‑hoc Projects
  • Perform any other ad‑hoc assignments or special projects as assigned by the direct superior or company management.
Job Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA/CMA is a plus).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment (precision engineering/semiconductor industry).
  • Strong experience in manufacturing, cost accounting and cross‑border finance collaboration.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently, hands‑on, and comfortable in a dynamic and technical environment.
  • Has prior working experience and is comfortable driving financial processes and communications across regions.
