About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join our finance team. The successful candidate will oversee the financial health of the organisation, drive financial planning and analysis, ensure robust financial controls, support strategic decision making, and manage the accounting/finance team to deliver accurate, timely and meaningful financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations: general ledger, month‑end and year‑end closing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, reports and forecasts to management.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor performance against budget, identify variances and drive corrective actions.
- Analyse financial results, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore statutory requirements (accounting standards, tax, audit) and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Develop, implement and enhance internal financial controls, policies and procedures to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
- Manage cash flow and working capital, support banking relationships and funding activities where required.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals; promote continuous improvement in processes and systems.
- Partner with functional and business unit heads to support strategic initiatives, business planning and decision making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant finance/accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, statutory requirements in Singapore and financial reporting.
- Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting.
- Proficiency in finance systems and MSExcel; familiarity with ERP/accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills; able to present financial data clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, integrity, ability to work under deadlines and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in improving finance processes and controls, and driving automation or system improvement is a plus.
