Job description

The Finance Manager role exists to provide professional works for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing also to provide supports to Regional Controller.

Close communication within finance team with APAC region (Singapore) and Global / Corporate is expected.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Accounting, statutory compliance

  • Engage all Finance team activities and ensure smooth day-to-day running of the operation
  • Ensure the month-end process is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance, including payroll tax, social insurance; corporate tax; consumption tax; income tax; other insurances
  • Liaise with the external auditors and Tax consultants
  • Liaise with all relevant local authorities
  • Provide timely and accurate feedback to the Regional Controller
  • Continuous review and, where appropriate, improvement of the Finance department systems and procedures

Reporting

  • Produce local revenue reporting
  • Produce AR report
  • Cash flow management and projections
Qualifications
  • Fluent in both Japanese and English
  • 5+ years of experience to work for global Japanese companies/foreign affiliated companies preferable
  • Possess good cross-cultural skills when communicating with overseas in English
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent all round accounting skills
  • Sound computer skills, with a particularly high skill level in MS Excel
  • Very high accuracy skills
  • Must be highly numerical and analytical
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant tax and company law
  • Ability to maintain a positive, motivational, “get things done” attitude, especially when faced with challenging situations
  • Sound people skills
