Job summary

Novabay Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a seasoned Finance Controller to lead the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions. You will oversee the Purchasing team, ensure robust procurement controls, and drive monthly and annual financial statements, management reports and group reporting.

You will manage month-end and year-end closes, ensure IFRS and Singapore statutory compliance, maintain internal controls, support external auditors and bankers, and act as a business partner to management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
• At least 5 years' experience in accounting/finance with managerial responsibilities.
• Experience in manufacturing and SAP-Hana preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions.
• Oversee Purchasing team to ensure procurement operations, supplier management and purchasing controls.
• Prepare and submit accurate monthly and annual financial statements, management reports and Group reporting.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure IFRS, Singapore accounting standards, statutory requirements, and Group policies compliance.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and cash flow.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks and government authorities.
• Oversee GST, corporate tax, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and SAP financial systems.
• Provide financial analysis and business partnering support to management.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the General Manager.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, CPA or an equivalent recognised qualification is preferred.
• At least 5 working years' experience in handling accounting, finance activities, including managerial responsibilities.
• Experience in manufacturing and SAP-Hana is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
• Able to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
