Key Responsibilities
Finance Management & Reporting
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives; advise management on financial planning, investments, and risk management.
  • Prepare, manage and submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, budgets and forecasts for both projects and the company.
  • Ensure timely preparation and closure of monthly accounts.
  • Ensure timely filing of GST, corporate tax, and other statutory submissions to IRAS and ACRA.
Cost Control Management
  • Implement and monitor strategies to control project costs, prevent overruns and ensure profitability and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor and control project costs, progress claims, variation orders, and retention sums.
  • Review and approve tenders, subcontractor payments, and capital expenditures.
  • Evaluate financial strength of clients for their payment ability and promptness.
  • Ensure subcontractor and supplier payments are properly validated against contracts.
Cash Flow Management
  • Track and manage cash flow, working capital, to ensure the company meets its operational and project-based financial needs.
  • Assist Finance Director to manage and negotiate with Banks for financing facilities to support Invoice financing, BG and LC and deferred payment.
  • Oversee all financial operations including managing the processes for Purchase Order, Billings, Collections, Payments, and payroll, by ensuring the operations are efficient, timely and internal controls are not compromised
Accounting & Compliance
  • Oversee general ledger operations, account reconciliations, and ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Contract & Risk Management
  • Review contracts to assess financial risk, track billing, manage retention, and support financial aspects of claims and disputes.
Team & Systems Oversight
  • Supervise and mentor the finance / account team, and ensure the effective use and improvement of financial systems and construction accounting software.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and financial accountability throughout the organization.
Stakeholder Support
  • Provide financial guidance and insights to management and project managers to support strategic decision-making.
Mandatory Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive financial leadership experience within a construction or project-based environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and cost control for multiple simultaneous construction projects and contracts and Singapore Statutory requirements.
  • Deep understanding of construction industry financial cycles (progress claims, retention, variation orders).
  • Proficiency in accounting software Business Central and strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to analyse financial data, identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and developing a finance / account team.
  • Good understanding of project accounting, experience in managing project risks and implementing cost control measures.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving problems.
Additional Requirement

  • 5.5 days weekly
  • Monday to Friday : 8.30am to 5.30pm
  • Saturday : 8.30am to 12.30pm
