Job description
Brief Summary

Join a dynamic role where you will oversee comprehensive accounting operations while driving financial reporting excellence and process optimizations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the team of Accounts staff and manage the complete spectrum of accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and statutory/management reporting for multiple entities.
  2. Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  3. Conduct thorough analysis of financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis, and present findings to senior management along with recommendations for improvements.
  4. Lead budget and forecasting activities, along with actual spending fluctuation analysis to maintain financial oversight.
  5. Act as the primary liaison for statutory audits, managing timelines, addressing audit inquiries, and ensuring the completion of audit processes including XBRL filing.
  6. Ensure adherence to applicable financial regulations and company policies to maintain compliance.
  7. Collaborate with various stakeholders such as accounting teams, tax specialists, and leadership to promote best practices within the organization.
  8. Monitor cash flow management by reviewing weekly transactions and coordinating accounting forecasts.
  9. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  10. Prepare internal reports in alignment with the various functions within a matrix organization, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
  1. ACCA qualification or an equivalent professional credential is required.
  2. 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, ideally within a multinational company.
  3. Strong background in end-to-end finance processes, including accounting, financial reporting, and managing statutory audits.
  4. Experience from Big four audit background will be advantageous.
  5. Proven involvement in finance digitalization efforts, automation projects, and process standardization.
  6. Experience leading a team of professionals in the financial reporting domain.
  7. Broad knowledge of financial operations, including accounting, tax matters, and audit procedures.
  8. Familiarity with business processes in a relevant industry, preferably manufacturing.
  9. Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop team members.
  10. A continuous-improvement mindset with a collaborative and growth-focused approach.
