A technology solutions company in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, manage a team, and ensure compliance with local laws. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, at least 5 years of experience in accounting, and proficiency in ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics. We are actively seeking a Finance Manager to become a pivotal member of our dynamic team. If you are a meticulous and skilled financial expert with a passion for accuracy, compliance, and strategic planning, then we want you! In this role, you will oversee financial operations, manage general ledger functions, reconcile accounts, and handle budgeting and forecasting, all while driving continuous improvement in our accounting processes.
Maintain accurate full sets of books within the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central/Navision ERP system, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable modules.
Lead and mentor a small finance team to ensure timely and precise data entry into our accounting systems.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Ensure compliance with local laws and accounting standards (IFRS) and implement internal controls in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Review and assist in the preparation of intercompany transactions and general ledger reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and provide financial insights.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Prepare for external audits by providing required financial documents and preparing financial statements.
Oversee billing and collections.
Monitor AR aging and drive follow-up on overdue accounts.
Set and review customer credit terms to minimize bad debts.
Prepare AR reports (e.g., aging, DSO, collection forecasts).
Oversee the processing of accounts payable to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
Review and approve invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Verify and ensure that all supporting documentation is properly maintained.
Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure accurate and timely payments.
Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and controls to ensure accuracy.
Monitor inventory aging and obsolescence, recommending provisions or write-offs where required.
Implement processes to optimize stock levels and reduce holding costs.
Provide regular inventory and aging reports to management for decision-making.
Assist in forecasting short- and long-term cash requirements, preparing accurate cash flow reports.
Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory cycles to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.
Ensure sufficient cash flow is available to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax filings such as quarterly GST filings.
Assist in the computation of Estimated Income Tax and Corporate Income Tax.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification, e.g. ACCA.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with full set and management reporting.
Preferably at least 2 years of experience working with audit firms or project-centric or construction-related businesses.
Proficient in using Microsoft 365 and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics (strong advantage), Oracle NetSuite, or SAP Business One.
Strong knowledge of group accounting and and consolidation processes including preparation of consolidated financial statements will be a advantage.
Self-motivated, outcome-driven and ability to work independently is a must.
