Job Overview
The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations for ICS, including full-set accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this role is accountable for maintaining strong financial governance, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and strengthening the company’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities. A key part of this position includes managing inventory and costing related to Oncology drugs, consumables, and clinical supplies to support treatment delivery and operational efficiency. This is a hands‑on role suited for someone detail‑oriented, analytical, and highly proficient in Xero. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in driving business growth, enhancing process efficiency, and providing reliable financial insights to support strategic decision‑making.
What You’ll Do
1. Financial Operations, P&L Management &Reporting
- Manage full-set accounts, including AP, AR, GL, billing, bank reconciliations, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
- Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reports, management dashboards, and commentary for leadership review.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data recorded in Xero
- Develop and maintain accounting processes, internal controls, and finance SOPs to ensure compliance and scalability.
- Track expenditure, treatment costing, margins, and profitability drivers.
- Support senior leadership in understanding financial performance trends and commercial outcomes.
2. Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory accounting for pharmaceuticals, chemotherapy drugs, consumables, and medical supplies.
- Perform monthly stock counts, reconcile variances, and ensure accurate month‑end valuation.
- Implement controls for stock movement.
- Analyse usage trends, pricing impact, and cost per treatment to support margin optimisation.
- Work closely with operations team to optimise stock requirements.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A
- Lead annual budgeting cycles and facilitate input consolidation across departments.
- Build rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and monthly performance reporting packs.
- Conduct scenario modelling, cost‑benefit reviews, and sensitivity analysis for key initiatives.
- Support long‑term planning with financial models and profitability projections.
4. Cash Flow, Treasury & Working Capital
- Oversee cash flow planning, liquidity management, and funding utilisation.
- Manage vendor payments, billing cycles, receivables collection, and credit control.
- Maintain bank relationships and monitor loan facilities and covenant compliance.
- Optimise working capital and balance sheet cash conversion.
5. Tax, Audit & Compliance
- Liaise with external tax agents for GST filings, corporate tax, and regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate statutory audit requirements, prepare audit files, and resolve queries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, IRAS guidelines, healthcare regulations, and statutory obligations.
- Monitor changes in tax policy and regulatory frameworks that may impact the business.
6. Systems, Process Enhancement & FinancialGovernance
- Manage and optimise Xero accounting environment.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digitalisation, and data accuracy enhancement.
- Maintain finance documentation, internal control frameworks, and approval matrices.
- Support operational and strategic projects with financial evaluation and insights.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; ACCA/CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Audit experiences is preferred
- Proficiency in Xero is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of tax, GST, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Analytical, meticulous, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced clinical setting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management across operational, clinical, and leadership teams.
