Job description
About the role

Global Vantage Innovative Group (GVig) is a dynamic and fast-growing global company in the beauty and wellness sector. We are in a period of strategic transformation and are looking for a high-impact Finance Manager to join our team.

This is a unique, hands-on leadership role for a professional who thrives on being both a strategic business partner and an operational expert. Reporting directly to the COO, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management. Your primary focus will be on business controlling—providing the critical FP&A, cost analysis, and commercial insights that drive our decision-making.

You will also be a "player-coach," leading a small team of two accountants to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our day-to-day accounting operations. This is a perfect role for a data-driven, commercially-minded finance professional who wants to make a tangible impact on a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Business Controlling (60%)

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as the key financial partner to the COO and department heads, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual operating plan (AOP) process, as well as quarterly and monthly financial forecasting.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare and present monthly management reports, including detailed P&L variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget vs. Last Year) with clear commentary for the Board of Directors.
  • Commercial & Margin Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of sales performance, brand/SKU profitability, and COGS to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Cash Flow Management: Own the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast, manage working capital (especially AR and Inventory), and optimize liquidity.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control operational expenditures (OPEX) across the business, working with departments to ensure budget adherence.

Accounting Operations & Team Leadership (40%)

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team (2 accountants) responsible for AP, AR, and GL.
  • Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) are produced accurately and on time.
  • Statutory & Compliance: Manage all statutory reporting, audit, and tax-related matters for our Singapore entity and oversee compliance for our international operations (e.g., Malaysia).
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial and accounting processes to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Systems Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the company's ERP/accounting software.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 5-7+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong mix of financial accounting (GL, AP, AR) and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA /CA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification is strongly preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in managing or mentoring a small team. A "hands-on" leadership style is essential.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Strong experience with modern ERP or accounting software.
  • Deep understanding of SFRS/IFRS.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent Communicator: Ability to distill complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  • Analytical & Strategic: A commercially-minded individual who thinks beyond the numbers to see the business "why."
  • Highly Organized: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive & High-Integrity: A self-starter who takes ownership and is committed to the highest standards of financial ethics.
What we offer:
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company.
  • Collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Professional development and growth opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work with a global network of distributors and customers.
