Job summary

A leading finance and accounting firm in Singapore is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of businesses. You will manage the Accounts team and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of experience and strong analytical skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is proficient in financial accounting standards. Prior experience in the marine or dredging industry is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in financial accounting or related roles.
• Experience in regulatory reporting and knowledge of IFRS preferred.
• Strong computer literacy and experience with accounting software.

The Role

You will be responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting & finance functions of the Company, its subsidiaries and group consolidation across the region. You can expect a diverse portfolio within the group from offline to online businesses ranging from sand supply, reclamation and construction, Travel and Lifestyle, Retail e-Commerce to the latest venture on Technology.

This will be a hands-on leadership role, supporting the Head of Finance in overseeing the Accounts team in ensuring prompt and accurate accounts and financial statements, budgeting, cashflow management and closings.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong blend of regional finance exposure coupled with strong commercial sense. What you’ll be doing:

• Oversees the daily operations of the Accounts team
• Maintain a trusted partnership with the stakeholders across various functionalities
• Ensure accurate and prompt delivery of all accounting tasks across the regionWeekly - Management Reports
  - Forecast and Budgeting
  - Cashflow Management
  - Monthly closing
  - Handles correspondences with auditors, tax authorities, corporate secretaries
• Constantly look for ways to achieve greater efficiency around workflows and deliverables
• Drive timely and accurate monthly and year end closing activities and provide accurate financial reports to all internal and external stakeholders
• Analyse financial performance and highlight any anomalies and risk from the financial data
• Assist in audit and ensure compliance with the Financial Reporting Standards

What we look for:

• CPA/CA with ACCA or Accounting Degree
• At least 6 years of experience in financial accounting and/ or related capacity
• Regulatory reporting and knowledge of IFRS preferred
