Job summary

abundance international limited in Singapore is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage the full set of accounts for the Singapore entity, deliver timely financial reporting and oversee monthly close.

You will lead group consolidation, GST filings, statutory financial statements, and cashflow monitoring, while coordinating with auditors, tax advisers, and banks. Mandarin proficiency is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Audit experience is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in monthly group consolidation and Singapore statutory reporting.
• Good knowledge of Singapore GST, statutory financial reporting, and XBRL filing requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ABSS Accounting Software is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts for the Singapore entity to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation to support business decision-making.
• Review subsidiary accounts and perform monthly group consolidation to ensure consolidated financial accuracy.
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns in compliance with Singapore tax regulations.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements and complete XBRL filings to meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, including working capital and intercompany loan balances, to maintain financial stability.
• Liaise with bankers on trade financing and banking facilities to optimize funding arrangements.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and ESG consultants to ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with statutory and internal reporting standards.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned to support the finance team and organizational goals.
