Job summary

A financial services organization in Singapore is seeking a Finance Manager to prepare financial reports, manage a finance team, and liaise with auditors. The ideal candidate will have CPA qualifications, at least 7 years of experience in finance, and strong analytical and people-management skills. Familiarity with IBM Cognos and Lawson M3 is a plus.

Job description

To provide timely, accurate, critical and relevant financial information and reports to stakeholders for information and decision-making

Responsibilities

Prepare timely and accurately consolidated financial & management reports (i.e. monthly flash report & dashboard and quarterly board paper)

Financial planning, analysis and good problem-solving skills

Work closely with business units’ finance team to resolve accounting issues and provide technical support on accounting and management reporting matters

Liaise with local and group auditors on audit to ensure a smooth group audit process

Liaise with other professional advisors and stakeholders on matters related to financial & management reports

Administer the Group’s ERP comprising the accounting and consolidation systems

System, process improvements and ad-hoc projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Provide support for ad-hoc reporting and assist with projects as assigned by Management

Manage, develop, motivate and supervise a lean group finance team of accountant and account exe

Conduct annual review of ABAC and sanctions compliance and enterprise risk management

Qualifications

CPA, with a professional qualification recognised by ISCA or internationally recognised accounting body ACCA

Experience

At least 7 years of relevant experience, of which a minimum of 4-5 years in a supervisory / managerial position in a large company

Or at least 6 years of experience in Big 4 audit firms

Competency

Excellent knowledge of financial statement consolidation and accounting standards (Singapore FRS and IFRS)

Solid hands-on and review experience in preparing consolidated statutory financial audited financial statements and management reports for a large group

An excellent team worker with strong analytical, people-management, communication and organisation skills

Independent, resourceful and energetic

Able to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines

Familiarity with IBM Cognos Controller and Lawson M3 will be an added advantage

Proficient in Microsoft excel, Word and PowerPoint

Proficient in both spoken and written English and Mandarin (to liaise with Business Units in China)
