We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive (Accounts Receivable) to oversee the financial closing process and prepare monthly statements for our Singapore entity. Key responsibilities include managing sales and accounts receivable, performing reconciliations, issuing store and petty cash floats, and preparing monthly royalty estimations. You will collaborate with various departments to enhance operational efficiencies and ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting procedures. Additionally, you will coordinate the annual audit process and recommend improvements to accounting practices.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage financial closing process and prepare monthly financial statements for a Singapore entity

  • Sales & AR checking, including credit card commissions, aggregator service, store's petty cash, cash deposit and reimbursements

  • Perform Sales & AR reconciliations

  • Monthly posting for Sales, Payments & Variances

  • Issuance of store float & petty cash float

  • Preparation of monthly royalty estimation and GTO submission

  • Perform Bank Reconciliations

  • Manage store's related SOP & bulletin

  • Participate in local monthly period review meeting or departmental meeting

  • Conduct business performance & control analysis with IT, Operations and Marketing and provide recommendations to stakeholders to improve efficiencies and address business performance and reporting relating to Finance functions

  • Perform corporate card reconciliations & provide entries for AP posting.

2. Internal controls and compliance

  • Assist in implementing, maintaining accounting processes and reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements

  • Cultivate good practice of control and finance accounting policies and procedures, to ensure efficient and accurate reporting

  • Ensure preparation of all supporting information for the annual audit and coordinate the annual financial audit process

  • Identify and recommend potential operational efficiencies and improvements to work practices and procedures including SOPs

3. Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in external audit is an added advantage

  • Able to navigate and manage volume transactions

  • Knowledge of ERP system (D365) is an added advantage

  • FMCG, Retail or F&B experience is an added advantage

  • Proficient in MS Office tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently as well as a team

  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
