Job summary

A local town council in Singapore is seeking candidates for a finance/accounting role. Responsibilities include monthly submissions to HDB on S&C arrears, preparation of reports, and liaising with external auditors. The ideal candidate should have relevant accounting experience and be able to commit for 6 months. This position influences the financial operations of the council.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Monthly submission to HDB on S&C Arrears.
  • Preparation of arrears report for Finance & Town Council meeting.
  • Review GIRO and RCSS application and residents' refund/penalty waiver.
  • Review HDB and Town Council collections.
  • Furnish S&C rates to HDB as per request.
  • Review of Mass collection/mass legal action - NODs & prosecution.
  • Updating of adjusting journals and year-end journals.
  • Preparing audit schedules and liaising with external auditors.
  • Follow up on auditors' recommendations and implement control measures.
  • Being accountable for all adjusting entries to TOL income.
  • Attending to verbal and written enquiries from residents and commercial owners/tenants.
  • Quotation for printing SOA, Notices, General Insurance, Financial auditor.
  • Any adhoc duties as assigned by the management.

  • Quotation for printing SOA, Notices, General Insurance, Financial auditor
  • Any adhoc duties as assigned by the management
