The Finance Director will oversee the strategic financial management and operations of an industrial/manufacturing organisation in Singapore. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to drive financial performance in a fast-paced environment.

This established organisation is a global manufacturing company with a strong reputation for engineering excellence and operational resilience. Operating within the industrial and manufacturing sector, it plays a critical role in supporting the global supply chain through its high-quality, precision-engineered products. With a regional base in Singapore and manufacturing sites across Asia, the company is committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and financial discipline. As part of its ongoing transformation and regional integration efforts, the Singapore office is strengthening its leadership bench and is now looking to appoint a Finance Director to lead its finance and plant operations.

Description
  • Lead the full spectrum of financial operations including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support business growth and cost optimisation
  • Partner closely with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams to drive business performance and improve profitability
  • Act as a key business partner to senior stakeholders, offering sound financial advice to support decision‑making
  • Collaborate regularly with the global HQ finance and leadership teams to ensure alignment with group‑wide financial policies, reporting standards, and strategic initiatives
  • Drive monthly and quarterly reporting to global HQ, including variance analysis and business commentary
  • Oversee statutory audits, tax matters, and compliance with local regulations
  • Identify and implement process improvements, enhance internal controls, and support ERP optimisation
  • Support group‑level finance consolidation and special projects as needed
Profile
  • A degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA or CA would be advantageous
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or regional capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, with prior involvement in leading teams or finance functions
  • Background in manufacturing or industrial sectors would be beneficial
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory controls, and finance operations within a manufacturing context
  • Proven ability to partner with operational stakeholders and contribute to commercial decision‑making
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and collaborating with global teams is preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
