Overview

An international investment group with a substantial portfolio across Asia is seeking a Finance Director, Governance, Controls & Performance to join one of its largest operating companies in the healthcare sector. This is a newly created position designed to strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and performance management across a vast network of hospitals and medical centres in Vietnam.

Reporting to Group-level leadership, the Finance Director will serve as the key link between the Singapore headquarters and the Vietnam business. The role will focus on improving financial discipline, enforcing corporate policies, and ensuring the integrity of budgets, forecasts, and management reporting. You will review performance critically, identify inefficiencies, and drive stronger control over cash management and cost governance.

Responsibilities
  • Strengthen financial governance, internal controls, and performance management across a network of hospitals and medical centres in Vietnam.
  • Serve as the key link between the Singapore headquarters and the Vietnam business; ensure integrity of budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
  • Review performance critically, identify inefficiencies, and drive stronger control over cash management and cost governance.
  • Enforce corporate policies and improve financial discipline across the organization.
Skills & Experience
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 12–18 years of finance experience, ideally starting in a Big 4 audit firm and progressing into senior finance or audit leadership.
  • Solid grounding in financial control, audit processes and technical accounting; strong financial planning & analysis capabilities.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous, ideally with exposure to the financial operations of a hospital, clinic network, or broader healthcare organization.
  • Based full-time in Ho Chi Minh City, with occasional travel to Singapore. Prior experience in Vietnam is not required as most stakeholders speak English well. This role suits a mobile senior finance leader who brings structure, transparency, and accountability to a fast-growing business environment.
