Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s long-term goals.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and board.
- Analyze financial data to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
2. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses — including those written in Chinese.
- Ensure compliance with Chinese accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and government authorities in both English and Chinese.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting systems.
3. Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Establish and monitor internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
- Identify and manage financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Ensure transparency and accountability across departments.
4. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, including bilingual reporting structures.
- Foster collaboration with other departments such as operations, supply chain, and HR.
- Conduct financial training or briefings in Chinese when necessary.
5. Strategic Business Support
- Support business expansion, mergers, and acquisitions through financial due diligence.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and capital structure options.
- Provide insights into cost control, pricing, and resource allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a Chinese or regional organization.
- Strong knowledge of PRC accounting standards, tax laws, and corporate finance.
- Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
- Proficient in ERP systems and financial software.
