Job summary

A finance-focused company in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager. This role involves ownership of statutory reporting, monthly closing, and budgeting processes. The ideal candidate has a degree in Accounting or Finance, a recognized accounting qualification, and a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience. Strong skills in statutory reporting and advanced Excel are essential. This position also requires communication and stakeholder management skills, emphasizing a leadership role in finance operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Recognised professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACCA) is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong expertise in statutory reporting, group consolidation, GST, IRAS requirements, and payroll processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as Power BI; SAP knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the deputy to the Finance Manager, assuming responsibilities during absence.
• Lead and review the monthly closing process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide financial insight, analysis, and recommendations.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Strengthen internal controls and compliance processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
