Job summary

The Supreme HR Advisory Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the complete finance function for a hotel in Singapore.

You will lead a multi-functional finance team, drive accurate financial reporting, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Ideal candidates will have 5–8 years in finance within hospitality, a degree in accounting/finance, and a CPA/ACCA qualification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality/hotel industry.
• Experience leading or managing a finance team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel finance systems.
• Knowledge of hotel group finance standards and procedures is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full finance function of the hotel and ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations.
• Lead and supervise the finance team across accounting, payroll, AP/AR, income audit, purchasing, cost control and IT finance support.
• Prepare and review financial statements, monthly P&L, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reports.
• Ensure records and processes comply with policies, accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, inventory and cash flow to support strong financial control.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and financial integrity.
• Support budgeting and forecasting to meet corporate reporting standards.
• Partner with the General Manager and department heads to review performance and manage costs.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, insurers, suppliers, authorities and corporate office on finance matters.
• Oversee payments, cost control, fund management and supplier-related finance matters.
• Monitor operating costs including F&B and identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and improve financial reporting systems to aid decision-making.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.

Salary: $9000 - $11000

Working Days: Mon - Fri | 8.30am - 5.30pm

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the full finance function of the hotel and ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations
• Lead and supervise the finance team, including accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, purchasing, cost control, general cashiering, internal control, store receiving, credit control and IT-related finance support
• Prepare and review financial statements, monthly profit and loss reports, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reports
• Ensure financial records, reporting and processes are accurate and in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements
• Monitor hotel revenue, operating expenses, inventory, payroll costs and cash flow to support effective financial control
• Maintain proper internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity
• Support business planning, budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensure forecast submissions meet corporate reporting standards
• Partner with the General Manager and department heads to review business performance, manage costs and provide finance-related advice
• Liaise with banks, auditors, insurance providers, suppliers, government authorities and corporate office on finance-related matters
• Oversee payment processing, cost control, fund management and supplier-related finance matters
• Monitor and analyse operating costs, including Food & Beverage costs, and recommend areas for improvement where required
• Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes to support management decision-making
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent will be an advantage
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality / hotel industry
• Prior experience managing or leading a finance team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting / hotel finance systems
• Knowledge of hotel group finance standards and procedures will be an advantage
