The Finance Controller leads the country finance function while partnering closely with senior leadership to support strategic and commercial decision‑making. It combines hands‑on financial management with business partnering in a multi‑entity environment.

Client Details

Our client is a well‑established healthcare group with a strong presence across the Asia‑Pacific region and an expanding footprint in Singapore. The organisation operates a diversified portfolio of healthcare services, including specialist care, high‑end medical practices, dental services, and clinics, with over 20 practices in Singapore alone, and they are still growing.

Across other markets, the group also manages a range of healthcare platforms such as dialysis centres and specialised treatment facilities. Singapore is a key growth market for the business, with ongoing investments to scale operations, strengthen capabilities, and support long‑term expansion.

Backed by an experienced regional leadership team, the organisation is actively pursuing global M&A initiatives and is committed to continuous transformation, operational excellence, and building effective, collaborative ways of working across the group.

As part of their expansion, they are seeking a Finance Controller to join the team in a newly created role. This position will drive transformation, strategic direction, and operational excellence across the local finance and accounting function.

Description

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the country finance function and supporting business performance through strong financial governance, insights, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the Singapore finance team
  • Partner closely with the Country CEO as a trusted finance advisor, providing commercial insights and financial analysis
  • Oversee monthly management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Manage statutory reporting and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and group policies
  • Oversee consolidation across 5 legal entities
  • Drive finance transformation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls
  • Support on-boarding and integration of new business entities from a finance perspective
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support country‑level and business initiatives
  • Ensure robust internal controls, governance, and compliance, including inter‑company and transfer pricing matters
  • Maintain a hands‑on approach to finance operations while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Profile
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Professional accounting qualification is beneficial (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in healthcare, medical, clinic, or dental practice environments is advantageous
  • Strong finance business partnering experience with senior stakeholders
  • Proven experience in consolidation within multi‑entity environments
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge and operational finance exposure
  • Experience in finance transformation, optimisation, or process improvement
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
