A government food agency in Singapore is seeking a Finance Business Partner to manage day-to-day finance operations and governance-related processes. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in relevant fields, strong critical thinking skills, and proficiency in Microsoft tools. Responsibilities include managing finance operations and engaging with stakeholders effectively in enhancing financial governance.
The trainee will be a Finance Business Partner to SFA’s Food Reserves team to manage day-to-day finance operations and various finance and governance-related processes and projects. Through this, the trainee would potentially develop finance functional competencies such as business partnering, budget planning, governance & risk management, as well as core competencies such as critical thinking & analysis, working effectively with stakeholders, innovation etc.

The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is a new Statutory Board formed under the ‘Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) to oversee food safety and security. The SFA will serve as the single point of contact for public feedback on food-related issues, and strengthen management of foodborne disease outbreaks to protect public health. The SFA will also facilitate more business-friendly regulations with oversight of all food safety policies and consolidation of food laboratory capabilities to deepen competencies in food diagnostics, and research and development in food safety.
