Finance Business Partner

We are seeking a passionate and resourceful Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving the financial sustainability and operational excellence of our community services. You will partner closely with operational leaders to provide strategic financial insights, improve performance outcomes, and support informed decision‑making that advances SLEC's mission of delivering high‑quality care for our elders.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to operational leaders, enhancing understanding of key financial performance indicators and business drivers.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning, business cases, and tender exercises for new or existing community‑based services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimise resource utilisation to strengthen overall financial performance.
  • Prepare, analyse, and present financial reports and performance dashboards for management decision‑making.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning.
  • Drive financial discipline and accountability across business units through effective business partnering and performance management.
  • Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders to support better operational decisions.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment between financial objectives, operational goals, and SLEC's strategic thrusts.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a business‑partnering role - preferably in healthcare, eldercare, or social services.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable strategies.
  • Highly resourceful, adaptive, and able to manage both business‑as‑usual and ad‑hoc projects in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
