About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Assistant Manager with strong F&B finance experience. This is a hands‑on role, responsible for managing full sets of accounts, P&L, budgeting, forecasting, taxation and audit. The role requires working across the main office and outlets, including outlet audits and collaboration with the HR Manager who is based at Katong, as well as liaising with the outsourced accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee full sets of accounts and ensure timely month-end closing.
  • Prepare, review and analyse profit & loss statements for multiple outlets/stalls, with variance analysis.
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with operations and management.
  • Monitor cash flow, cost control and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with HR (based at Katong) to verify and process payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct outlet-level audits at Katong, Aljunied and other locations to ensure compliance with SOPs and financial controls.
  • Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, outsourced accounting firm, banks, and government authorities to ensure compliance and timely submissions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of GST, corporate tax and statutory filings.
  • Maintain proper internal controls, processes and documentation.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business decisions.
  • Support ad hoc projects such as new outlet financial setup, audit preparation, or process improvements.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline (ACCA/CPA an advantage).
  • Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience, with proven track record in P&L, budgeting, forecasting, taxation and audit.
  • Prior experience in the F&B industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, and hands-on exposure to AR/AP management.
  • Experience with Xero accounting software is required; knowledge of other F&B systems (POS, payroll, inventory) will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking colleagues, vendors and outlet staff.
  • Willingness to work across main office and outlets (Katong, Aljunied) as operational needs require.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently in an SME environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with HR, outsourced accounting firm, auditors, suppliers, operations and management.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight eporting deadlines.
  • Candidates should note that outlets are non‑halal establishments.
