The Opportunity
- This will start off as a 12 months contract
The Job
- Review and update procurement and financial policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with Government Instruction Manuals and Finance Circulars;
- Assist in budget planning, expenditure monitoring and investment analysis;
- Monitor budget utilization and assist in management reporting;
- Manage finance operations including payments, receipts, claims, grant administration, fixed assets and lease management;
- Assist in statutory financial reporting, and support governance, compliance and audit-related matters;
- Manage procurement operations, including reviewing procurement submissions and providing guidance to divisions on procurement matters;
- Participate in transformation initiatives to streamline financial and procurement processes
The Talent
- Minimally 5 years of relevant work experience with background in Accountancy or related professional qualifications (such as ACCA)
- Good working knowledge of Statutory Board- Financial Reporting Standards and accrual accounting
- Good understanding of Government Instruction Manuals on 'Financial Control' and 'Procurement', and Finance Circulars.
- Meticulous, analytical, self-motivated and resourceful with strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team or independently
