Job Summary

The role provides technical finance expertise and guidance on Treasury matters and well-developed recommendations to make business decisions. Activities include, but are not limited to, cash management, subsidiary funding, foreign exchange risk management, business risk management, trade finance, and developing funding structures. This role reports to Regional Treasury Centre Manager and will be working directly with the senior management of the Caterpillar entities in Asia Pacific. Incumbent will have comprehensive knowledge of Caterpillar's business and finance policies and practices, systems, processes and procedures. You will apply finance knowledge to activities and will participate in and/or lead multifunctional teams as well as lead projects to conclusion by compiling information, analyzing data, recommending and implementing solutions and will provide information and analysis used to make and/or influence business decisions.

What You Will Do

• Perform daily Treasury operational work such as cash management, bank account management, funding, forecasting, General Ledger posting and foreign exchange trading
• Support Asia Pacific legal entities and business units and to be a trusted adviser to the process partners on Treasury functionalities.
• Lead / participate in global, regional and local projects.
• Leverage / deploy Treasury systems and technology to simplify / standardize processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX controls and policies as well as relevant country regulations.
• Handle broader business issues such as delivering presentations to business unit and corporate leadership teams, working with cross-functional disciplines to solve business problems, and using business acumen to support a broad range of activities.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's legal entities, business operations, and Treasury processes while demonstrating strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
• Financial Markets: Knowledge of the products, types, competitors, customer base, major issues and regulatory considerations in the financial markets; ability to apply financial market
• Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Top Candidate Will Also Have

• A university degree in finance, business administration or accounting is required.
• Requires knowledge of company policies, practices and systems.
• Demonstrate initiative, leadership, judgment and decision-making skills.
• Have the ability to work effectively and independently with people at all levels within and outside the department.
• Solid project management skills and excellent team leadership, human interaction, and communications skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of other business functions and analytical skills are desirable.
• Have the ability to learn and adapt quickly to a variety of work environments and circumstances. Needs to possess strong personal computer knowledge.

Additional Information

• Moderate travel required (5-15% of working time)
• This position requires working onsite five days a week.
