Job description

Job Title: Finance & Accounting Business Advisor

Duration: 6 months

Budget: 8500 SGD

Responsibilities
  • Business Insights/Decision Support/Communication
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain accounting flow across client’s trading entities, including responsive exception management to ensure reporting accuracy and control compliance
  • Partner with Global and/or Country Controlling and cross-functional teams including Tax, Customs, Supply Chain Operation teams to stand up new/changes in processes in support of product flow flexibility
  • Partner with Supply Chain Operations and/or Capability Teams in ensuring system data integrity for new/change process resolution to uphold control rigors.
  • Responsible for SAP system validation on operations accounting related activities in support of business initiatives.
  • Define relevant test scenarios and validate results within the set timeline. Provide inputs for informed decision on user acceptance.
  • Business Process Excellence
  • Drive end-to-end process simplification and improvements, leveraging on automation covering Intercompany and Inventory activities and reporting
  • Responsible for building/maintaining relevant desk-top procedures in accordance with the established controls and policies
Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of relevant accounting experiences, in large MNCs with Supply Chain Operations Accounting covering Inventory and Intercompany processes, controls and legal entity reporting
  • Bachelor degree in Accountancy, preferably with a Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Good Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX is necessary.
  • Demonstrate good operational insights to ensure reporting compliance for Inventory, Intercompany Cross-charges.
  • Hands‑on experiences with SAP – Demonstrate good communication and influencing skills on complex accounting requirements.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into operationalization with considerations for financial risks and controls across end‑to‑end processes
  • Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with multi‑cultural business partners and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and move forward with aligned priorities – Good documentation skills with proficiency in PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Experience with enabling tool solutions eg Blackline, Alteryx would be an added advantage
